Our story and values

About Port Moresby Christian Academy

A Christ-centred school where faith, care and community shape every stage of a child's learning journey.

Principal's welcome

Principal Pastor Russel

Welcome to Port Moresby Christian Academy. Whether you are considering enrolling your child with us for the first time or you are already part of our school family, thank you for taking the time to get to know who we are.

At PMCA, we believe every child is known, valued and capable of growing β€” academically, socially and spiritually. Our teachers work in small classes so that no student is overlooked, and our Christian foundation shapes how we teach, how we discipline, and how we care for one another each day.

We are proud of the community we are building here in Gerehu Stage 6, and we would love for you to see it for yourself. I encourage you to visit our campus, meet our staff, and ask any questions you have about enrolment.

God bless you and your family.

Our history

Port Moresby Christian Academy began with a simple goal: to provide a safe, Christ-centred place where children can grow in knowledge, character and faith. Since then, the school has become a trusted part of the Gerehu community, serving families who value small classes, strong values and a caring learning environment.

  • Founded

PMCA was established in Gerehu Stage 6 to provide children with a nurturing school community rooted in Christian values.

  • First graduating class

Our early students helped shape the school culture and set the tone for excellence, character and community.

  • Growth of the campus

The school has continued to serve more families as it grows, while keeping the small-school feel that parents value.

  • PMCA today

A small, Christ-centred school serving preschool, elementary and primary students in Gerehu Stage 6.

Faith & values

Christian faith is woven into daily school life at PMCA β€” in how staff and students treat one another, not only in a single subject on the timetable.

  • Christ-centred

Daily devotion and prayer are part of the school routine.

  • Respect

Students are taught to treat staff, peers and property with respect.

  • Community

Families are welcomed as partners in each child's education.
